Feedback wanted: Add share / like / vote buttons to Planet RDF stories?

I was wondering if enough people would find it useful for me to add some story sharing widgets to the stories aggregated on the Planet RDF site in the form of buttons to share / send the stories on sites you use, or Facebook send/like, Tweet, Google +1, Digg :) etc. They would point to the original content URLs. I can tell most people are reading the site via RSS so this would provide something you can’t get there. Let me know in the blog post comments or a comment to @planetrdf on Twitter.

Happy 7th Birthday Planet RDF

On 5th January 2004 we had the idea of making a planet aggregator for the Semantic Web RDF community and we (The Chaps) happened to have the source code pieces already around: Chumpologica by Matt, design by Phil, servers by Edd and glue code by Dave. More of a” stone soup” project now I come to think about it.

Not sure what the future is here. I feel like rewriting the entire code base from old school python, php + glue into something more modern like Node.js based although getting a decent rss tag soup parser might be tricky, maybe add archiving (but copyrights, hmm), better integrate with twitter and commenting (Disqus?).

But whatever the future, it will remain Triples All The Way Down.
